To get started with emergency preparedness …

If you’re ready to move beyond the basics …

CERT is an in-depth Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) training program to train community member volunteers in basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations. In a major disaster with wide-spread impacts, professional first responders will not be able to respond to all areas of the city for several days. CERT trained volunteers can help fill this gap by providing response to their family and neighbors.

Here is an excellent overview of the CERT program: VIDEO

One of our mottos is ”There’s a place for everyone in CERT”. We welcome people of all gifts to complete this training and help make Bellevue a more resilient city.

Bellevue CERT will conduct Basic Training Fall 2024:

  • Seven Tuesday evenings, 6:00 to 9:00 PM, September 10 to October 22.
  • The final drill and graduation will be Saturday October 26, 7:45 AM until Noon.

You can also check out the CERT Eastside calendar for CERT Basic courses in other eastside CERT programs.
